S/N 6646, assembly #4718 (all match), .44 caliber, 7 inch barrel, factory engraved, nickel finish, standard Hopkins & Allen punch dot engraving with higher quality embellishments such as “Mexican Eagle” and arabesques. The 2-piece pearl grips are carved with a Mexican Eagle. Manufactured circa 1876-1878. Accompanied by a 3 loop holster, circa 1870s. Condition: very good bore with scattered black powder oxidation, 98% nickel overall, sharp crisp engraving, pearl grips are very good with some small chips and cracks, grip screw has been moved from center grip to bottom of grip, excellent mechanically, excellent marks. Holster is supple and strong.
