Actor and Singer Johnny Crawford Appearing at the Denver Old West Show
Johnny Crawford, the "Rifleman's" son on the hit TV series and singer of such hits as "Donna," and "Cindy's Birthday" will appear as a celebrity guest at the 25th annual Old West Show
DENVER – Brian Lebel's Old West Show is pleased to announce that Johnny Crawford will be joining us at the Denver Old West Show as our celebrity guest, this June 27-29th at the Denver Mart. Visit with Johnny all weekend as he signs autographs and chats with friends and fans.
John "Johnny" Crawford is an actor, singer, musician and band leader, who first rose to fame for playing Mark McCain, the son of Lucas McCain (played by Chuck Connors), in the popular ABC western series, The Rifleman, which originally aired from 1958 to 1963. He had a number of hit songs in the late 1950s and early '60s, including 5 Billboard Top 40 Hits.
Brian Lebel, who doesn't usually book celebrity appearances for his shows, says, "I thought "Donna" was the most romantic song when I was young. I only liked girls named Donna." Lebel hopes Crawford's appearance will bring people to the Show that might otherwise not have known about it. "Once people see what we're up to," Lebel says, "they come back every year."
